Lucknow: BJP's state general secretary (Organisation) Dharmapal Singh launched the official poster for the upcoming ‘ Ambedkar marathon ' at the party's state headquarters on Friday. The marathon, themed ‘Ek Bharat, Samaras Bharat' (One India, Harmonious India), will be held on Apr 13.
Singh said, "This marathon is not just a race, but a social movement aimed at fostering the values of equality, justice and unity envisioned by BR Ambedkar."
The event's chief coordinator, BJP functionary and president of the UP boxing and kalaripayattu associations, Neeraj Singh conducted an inspection of the preparation sites, including the starting point at KD Singh Babu stadium and the finishing point at 1090 crossing in Gomtinagar. He was accompanied by Lucknow Mahanagar unit BJP president Anand Dwivedi and regional sports officer Animesh Singh.
Neeraj said that along the marathon route, participants will be greeted with flower showers and welcome gestures. A grand stage will be set up at the finish line, where Dharmapal will felicitate and award the winners.
Media in-charge Praveen Garg added that over 3,500 participants have already registered through the QR code issued by BJP Lucknow Mahanagar, which is managing the event.
