Indian Railways Announces New Weekly Service to Boost Passenger Convenience

Udaipur, April 29 — In a move aimed at improving connectivity and enhancing passenger convenience, Indian Railways has announced the launch of a new weekly special train service between Udaipur City and Forbesganj. The service will commence from May 6, 2025, and will operate weekly until May 27, 2025, completing four round trips during this period.

The newly introduced train is expected to benefit passengers traveling between Rajasthan and Bihar, covering important cities en route.

Timings and Schedule of Udaipur City–Forbesganj Special Train

According to a statement issued by the Railways:

• Udaipur City–Forbesganj Weekly Special Train (09623) will depart from Udaipur City every Tuesday at 4:05 PM starting May 6. It will arrive in Jaipur at 11:10 PM, where it will halt for 10 minutes before departing again at 11:20 PM. The train will reach Forbesganj on Thursday at 5:30 AM.

• Forbesganj–Udaipur City Weekly Special Train (09624) will commence its return journey from Forbesganj every Thursday at 9:00 AM, beginning May 8. It will reach Jaipur by 2:55 PM on Friday, and finally arrive at Udaipur City at 12:40 AM the next day.

Train Composition and Halts

The train will halt at several major stations, including:

• Rana Pratap Nagar

• Mavli

• Chanderiya

• Bhilwara

• Bijaynagar

• Nasirabad

• Ajmer

• Kishangarh

• Jaipur

• And other important locations en route.

The train will consist of 16 coaches, configured as follows:

• 1 Second AC coach

• 3 Third AC coaches

• 1 Third AC Economy coach

• 5 Sleeper class coaches

• 4 General class coaches

• 1 Power Car

• 1 Guard’s Brake Van
