Western Railway Extends Trips of Four Pairs of Special Trains to Meet Summer Demand

Extension Aims to Ease Passenger Rush During Peak Travel Season

 

MUMBAI — In response to growing passenger demand during the summer season, Western Railway has announced the extension of services for four pairs of special trains operating with special fares. The decision is aimed at ensuring smoother travel options for commuters heading to and from key destinations across India.

According to a press release issued by Western Railway’s Public Relations Department, the extended services cover routes from Mumbai, Delhi, Khatiipura, Valsad, Sabarmati, and Haridwar. These trains were originally scheduled for limited runs and will now continue to operate further into May and June 2025.

Extended Train Services and Dates

• Train No. 09001 Mumbai Central–Khatiipura Special extended until May 26, 2025

• Train No. 09002 Khatiipura–Mumbai Central Special extended until May 27, 2025

• Train No. 09003 Mumbai Central–Delhi Special extended until June 27, 2025

• Train No. 09004 Delhi–Mumbai Central Special extended until June 28, 2025

• Train No. 09007 Valsad–Khatiipura Special extended until May 22, 2025

• Train No. 09008 Khatiipura–Valsad Special extended until May 23, 2025

• Train No. 09425 Sabarmati–Haridwar Special extended until June 29, 2025

• Train No. 09426 Haridwar–Sabarmati Special extended until June 30, 2025

Booking Details and Travel Information

• Bookings for Train Nos. 09001 and 09007 are already open.

• Train Nos. 09003 and 09425 will open for booking from April 26, 2025, and can be reserved via all PRS counters and the .
