NEW DELHI: A shooting incident occurred in the Welcome area of North East Delhi on Saturday evening, injuring a 22-year-old woman named Ifra, who was later admitted to GTB Hospital for treatment.
Delhi Police said that senior officers and staff reached the scene after receiving information about the incident at 4:42 pm and discovered empty cartridges. The area was cordoned off and probe was launched.
Further inquiries revealed that the incident happened due a dispute between jeans wholesalers over money. The crime team was present at the location, and a total of 17 exhibits were collected, including empty cartridges, live cartridges, and deformed metal pieces. Police have arrested a few suspects in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing..
