JAMMU: Residents of a Bobiya, a forward village near the international border in Hiranagar sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, found a rusty mortar shell in an open field on Wednesday and alerted local police.
Cops rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area and informed the Bomb Disposal Squad, which sent a team to the village that destroyed the shell in a controlled explosion.
