Gujarat ATS have arrested a Porbandar resident, Pankaj Kotiya , on charges of sending sensitive information on the vessels and jetty of Indian Coast Guard to a Pakistani agent , who posed as a Mumbai-based woman. ATS officials Saturday said Kotiya was lured by the agent, who used the alias 'Riya', to share information on ICG vessels and jetty at Porbandar. He was introduced to 'Riya' on Facebook nine months ago and had been sharing details of the Coast Guard ships, including their locations, with her through WhatsApp, getting money in return. 'Riya', who is believed to be working for the Pakistani Navy, paid a total of Rs 26,000 to Kotiya via UPI transactions.
