“The hate is real”: Fans speculate teammates were hating on Shedeur Sanders after locker room video surfaces

Send Push
Shedeur Sanders might be used to being in the spotlight, but his latest viral moment has nothing to do with game-day highlights. A locker room video making rounds on social media has fans convinced there’s tension brewing between Sanders and some of his teammates. From awkward stares to cold body language, viewers didn’t hold back with their theories, sparking a debate over whether the Colorado quarterback is truly getting the support he deserves from his own squad.

The viral video has fans convinced Shedeur Sanders’ teammates weren’t feeling him

A clip shared by @RichAndRay33 on X racked up thousands of views after showing Sanders in the locker room while several teammates appeared less than thrilled by his presence. Instead of celebrating alongside the star QB, some players were spotted giving cold looks, prompting fans to label the vibes as “weird” and “jealous.”

Another user, @KollegeKidd, reposted the footage with a similar take, and the conversation quickly snowballed from there.

Social media is split: Is it just locker room banter or is there real tension brewing?

Fans wasted no time jumping into the comments to share their theories. Some called out obvious “hater energy” and claimed Shedeur’s status and his dad being head coach Deion Sanders—could be creating friction in the locker room. Others argued people were reading too much into a short video and that locker room dynamics are always complicated, especially when cameras are rolling.

Shedeur Sanders hasn’t addressed the clip, but this isn’t the first time his spotlight has sparked debate

While Sanders hasn’t responded to the viral clip, it isn’t the first time his presence has caused a stir. As the face of Colorado’s program and the son of Coach Prime, Shedeur has been at the center of both praise and criticism since transferring to the Buffaloes. Whether this video shows genuine tension or just an out-of-context moment remains up for debate.

Locker room moments can be tricky to interpret, and without hearing from the players themselves, it’s all just speculation for now. But one thing is clear, when Shedeur Sanders is in the building, all eyes (and cameras) are watching.
