WWE wrestler, social media influencer and entrepreneur Logan Paul became the center of yet another lawsuit when Lionel Messi ’s Mas+ sued Logan’s Prime Hydration for trade dress infringement earlier this month. While being involved in controversies is nothing new for Logan, this time around he has broken his silence on the entire trade infringement allegations that were put on his brand Prime Hydration. Logan brought some issues to light surrounding the infringement allegations by Mas+ in his latest podcast.

Logan Paul sheds light on the current lawsuit against his Prime Hydration

In his latest episode of ImPaulsive , which aired just 7 hours prior to the time of writing this article, Logan Paul interviewed his former boxing rival and current British media personality KSI . It is during this interview that Logan Paul broke his silence on the trademark infringement allegations placed against his Prime Hydration and the lawsuit concerning that. When KSI commented during the interview, “ Make sure you punch up to someone that you know you can like battle with..”, Logan Paul swiftly added, “ Like Messi! Who is someone as loud for fucking suing us, for copying us! How is that possible?”

Further elaborating on how he felt and his reaction since the lawsuit came to light, Logan said, “I get the text.. ‘Messi’s drink Mas+ suing Prime Hydration... did he copy?’ I was like.. Dude how is that possible?” When asked by his co-host if he had signed a non-competitive, Logan explained the details of this lawsuit, saying,

“I’ll explain it to you. He is asking for.. I think it’s called like a rush judgement… He is asking the courts to determine as soon as possible whether or not he is indeed infringing on our trademark. Now we have not officially accused him of infringing on our trademark, there have been conversations I can’t speak much on… but they ultimately decided that instead of reaching a resolution behind the scenes, they’d rather just bring it to the court and say, ‘here Judge, you decide if we are indeed copying product’!”

Earlier the distributor of Mas+, Mark Anthony International , had clarified in the lawsuit filed on October 8, 2024, pleading their brand to be non-competitive. In order to support their claims, the brand conducted an independent survey among customers to study their purchase patterns, to determine whether consumers were getting confused between Mas+ and Prime Hydration when choosing their product. The survey however revealed the customers made an informed decision and not out of any confusion.

Logan is, however, of a different opinion. Refuting the results of this survey as presented by Mark Anthony Distributors in their lawsuit, Logan Paul placed his contradicting opinion. When asked by his co-host about who would want to buy Mas+ anyway, Logan brought forward another issue surrounding this trademark infringement to light. According to Logan, customers are apparently confused between Prime Hydration and Mas+, “Well, I’ll tell you, people think it’s Prime! People tag us on Instagram thinking they’re buying Prime, or, what’s more, a ‘Messi version of Prime’!...in latin countries, they think it’s latin version of Prime, just that Messi is partnering with us."
