Shedeur Sanders ’ NFL future continues to spark plenty of debate, and now one of the Las Vegas Raiders ’ most iconic fans has joined the conversation. Ice Cube , the legendary West Coast rapper and lifelong supporter of the Silver and Black, has made it clear where he stands when it comes to the team’s draft plans.
Ice Cube’s confidence in Shedeur Sanders reflects the growing excitement around the Raiders' draft plans
With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, Ice Cube believes the Las Vegas Raiders should take a serious look at drafting Shedeur Sanders. His passion for the team and understanding of what a strong quarterback can do for a struggling franchise have fueled his public support for the young prospect. As the buzz grows, so does the pressure on the Raiders to make a bold move and Ice Cube is making sure his voice is heard.
When questioned about Shedeur Sanders joining the Raiders, Ice Cube quickly responded, “Of course. I think his pedigree-you can't dismiss that. He's seen how to do it on the professional level for a very long time... Has a great, amazing coach [and father] in Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. ... If he's there, I think the Raiders should take him," Cube explained.
"They've gotta still deal with some great quarterbacks in the AFC West, so we gotta make sure we can stop somebody," the rapper said. "Cause scoring ain't the only thing, we've got some great quarterbacks out here."
With the draft just a week away, the pressure is on for the Raiders and Tom Brady to make a key decision. While Shedeur Sanders remains closely tied to the team now led by new head coach Pete Carroll some analysts predict the Raiders might go with Ashton Jeanty at the No. 6 spot.
Shedeur isn’t the only quarterback in the mix, though. Jalen Milroe , who impressed at Alabama, is also gaining attention among fans. A recent SB Nation poll showed strong support for Milroe, but selecting him in the second round would depend on whether he’s still available by pick No. 37.

As draft day approaches, the Raiders face a crucial choice: stick with a high-profile name like Shedeur Sanders, take a different route with Ashton Jeanty, or gamble on landing Jalen Milroe later. One thing’s clear: all eyes will be on Vegas when the moment arrives.
