Roman's £25 lace top is perfect for Christmas and will 'go with lots of things'

When I can't decide what to wear for an evening out or a party, I always fall back on the classic combination of jeans and a nice top.

While browsing the latest offers at Roman, a gorgeous black lace number caught my eye. Roman's great for affordable finds, and this top is no exception. It's currently down from £35 to just £25 in the winter sale. Made from a soft jersey material, it has pretty lace detailing on the arms, making it easy to dress up with jeans or a skirt. It's even versatile enough for the office if you're going for that effortless day-to-night look. I honestly think the lace detailing makes it look far more expensive than it is.

The fabric's described as stretchy, so it should feel comfy without being too clingy.

Designed to be both comfortable and flattering, this tunic-length jersey top is perfect for pairing with faux leather trousers, jeans, or when tucked into a pencil skirt. It's also currently available in sizes 10 to 20, reports Bristol Live.

It only currently has one review from a delighted shopper on the Roman website. They wrote: "Lovely top. Fits well. Good quality. Will go with lots of things." Another person shared that they had purchased the top as they "love anything black, especially with the added lace."

One downside is that it is only available in black, which may not suit everyone. I think it would be perfect in burgundy or a forest green for a festive touch. Roman frequently updates its website with new stock, so it's worth keeping an eye out as the season continues.
