Netflix has a new treat in store for thriller fans as a gripping mystery starring Motherland and Until I Kill You actress Anna Maxwell Martin has just landed.
The series is based on the novels by Holly Jackson, and the dark and twisted story follows teenager Pip Fitz-Amobi (played by Emma Myers) as she decides to investigate the murder of a 17-year-old girl.
The show first aired on the BBC in 2024 and it received positive reviews from critics, with an 82% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The thriller in question is A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, and the synopsis explains how Pip is looking into how schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered in Little Kilton five years previously.
Her boyfriend, Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), sent a text confessing to the murder before he too was found dead, seemingly taking his own life.
Andie's body was never found and the case was closed, but Pip is convinced Sal was innocent and she makes it her mission to seek justice.
Anna Maxwell Martin plays Leanne Amobi, Pip's mother, and she said she loved being a part of the series.
Speaking to the BBC when it initially aired, she said: "I so enjoyed being part of A Good Girl's Guide To Murder with a really lovely cast, crew and creatives.
"Can't wait for all the people who love Holly's book to see it brought to their screens."

Fans of the actress will also be pleased to hear the series was renewed for a second season back in November.
Production started in April with author Jackson declaring: "I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip's story and, this time, I'm writing on the show.
"We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can't wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!"
The first series of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder became a huge hit when it premiered, becoming BBC Three's highest rating drama since its relaunch and one of BBC iPlayer's most-watched titles for 16-24 year olds.
