A woman has slammed a set of parents for allowing their children to 'climb all over her' on a flight so they could look out of the window.
She explained how she and her husband spent years saving up enough money to afford their dream holiday to Africa - and made sure to plan everything down to the tiniest of details.
As part of their journey, they agreed to sit separately so they could each enjoy the views of Africa from 40,000ft above, believing it to be part of the experience.
However, she didn't plan for an 'entitled' family ruining this special moment for her.
She said on Reddit: "Flew first class, Polaris lounge access every leg. We booked separate rows, window seats, because, omg - Africa! Don't want to miss a second of it.
"We had a 6.5 hour leg from Addis Ababa to Cape Town and are snuggled in (after a 14 hour leg from Washington) and a family of 4 board. The lie-flat pods are in a 2-2-2 layout."
The mum told her son, around six to eight-years-old, to sit next to her in the middle seat - but the young boy didn't want to sit next to a stranger.
It seems neither did their dad as he ended up sitting in front of her and promptly fell asleep, leaving the mum to tend to their children alone.
She added: "The mum sits next to me and her toddler daughter and son in the middle, one row up.
"As soon as the plane is airborne (seatbelt signs still on, flight attendants still sitting) the daughter gets up and crawls into mum's lap. And plays on mum's iPad without headphones. Full volume."
Every time she got up to use the bathroom, she says the young boy was sitting in her seat looking out the window - and each time, the mum gestured for her to leave her child to it and sit in the middle seat instead.
"I decline every time. After a couple of hours I finally lie flat to sleep (24+ hours awake) and wake up to horrible pain in my knees - the daughter used my legs as a bench to look out the window," she added.
"I get flying with kids is hard (mine are now adults) but am happy to report nothing escalated- was too happy to be on my dream trip to let anything bring me down."
Commenting on her post, most users agreed she handle the situation a lot better than they would have done, with one saying: "The second my legs were touched I'd have probably started screaming."
Another user added: "I'm sorry I would of said something as soon as I woke up to a kid on me."
A third user said: "You need to more aggressively tell them to f*** off. Speak up for yourself."
