US President Donald Trump's hand bruises appeared to have disappeared on Tuesday, just one day after alarming photographs surfaced.
During Tuesday's Cabinet meeting, the president initially concealed his hands beneath the table before eventually revealing his apparently unblemished limbs.
This followed Monday's concerning images showing the president's right hand displaying substantial bruising whilst he signed two executive orders in the Oval Office. This news comes hours after experts warned Trump is 'showing symptoms' of rare condition that is getting 'worse'.
Monday's footage revealed the president's right hand bore a large dark mark on its back.
His left hand also exhibited slight bruising.
The White House had previously attributed the bruising to his regular handshaking with world leaders and routine use of "aspirin therapy" to prevent cardiovascular complications.
'Minor soft tissue irritation and aspirin use'"Recent photos of the president have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had previously stated.
"This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen," she clarified.
"This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy.
"The president remains in excellent health, which I think all of you witness on a daily basis here," she added.
Last month, it was revealed by the White House that the president has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that results in poor blood circulation in certain parts of the body, including the limbs.
This disorder, which predominantly affects those over 70, accounts for the president's recent appearance with swollen ankles, according to the White House.
Despite this, the White House insists that the president continues to be in excellent health.
