Chelsea made it back-to-back Premier League wins with a dominant victory over Wolves as Malo Gusto, Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto were on the score sheet. The Blues comfortably beat London rivals Tottenham last weekend but slipped up in the Champions League earlier this week as they drew 2-2 with Qarabag.
Enzo Maresca made one change to his league starting XI with Liam Delap replacing Reece James which saw Joao Pedro drop into the No.10 position. Chelsea should have gone ahead in the first half with Alejandro Garnacho and Enzo Fernandez forcing Sam Johnstone into several early saves, but their pressure soon told.
In the space of 21 second-half minutes, the west Londoners scored three times with Gusto nodding in the opener before Pedro swept home a second. Neto then tapped home Alejandro Garnacho's cross with the Argentine following up his first goal for the club on Wednesday evening in Azerbaijan by grabbing two assists.
Marc Guiu had chances to further Chelsea's advantage off the bench but was unable to convert the rebound from a Joao Pedro shot and also Estevao's fierce cross into the box. Here is how we rated the Chelsea players' performances against Wolves.
Robert Sanchez
Maintained his dominance in the air. Managed to get a solid hand on Jackson Tchatchoua's tempting first-half delivery. 7.
Malo Gusto
Scored the opening goal. Delivered some threatening crosses into the box and soldiered on despite twisting his ankle. 7.
Trevoh Chalobah
Had an odd header in the first half. Could have potentially scored but directed it away from the goal. Solid defensively. 7.
Wesley Fofana.
Covered for Malo Gusto's slip in the second half. Back in the starting line-up and gradually returning to form. 7.
Marc Cucurella.
Had a steady game, faced a tough challenge as Jackson Tchatchoua was a constant bother up the Wolves right. 7.
Moises Caicedo
Put in another strong performance. Kept Wolves' counter-attack threat at bay. Did receive a yellow card for one cynical pull but overall, another impressive midfield display. 8.
Enzo Fernandez
Outstanding in the first half. Made several superb passes and nearly scored directly from a corner. Kept Chelsea ticking over. 8.
Pedro Neto
Sharp. Drove with the ball and looked dangerous throughout. Scored a well-deserved third goal, fully merited by his performance. 8.
Joao Pedro
A bit sloppy in the first half. Missed a fairly straightforward chance but redeemed himself in the second half, scoring the second goal. Always involved in every Blues attack. 7.
Alejandro Garnacho
Provided two assists. Chelsea's standout player. Two excellent crosses, one high, one low for Malo Gusto and Pedro Neto, who both found the back of the net. 8.
Liam Delap
He had a disappointing first start since his hamstring injury against Fulham in August. He was replaced by Estevao after 64 minutes. 6.
Substitutes:
Estevao
Incredibly sharp. Managed to assist a goal just 68 seconds after coming on. A truly remarkable talent. 8.
Reece James
Given a rest, but the crowd chanted his name as he came on for the final 12 minutes. His presence helped Chelsea maintain another clean sheet. 7.
Marc Guiu
Missed a decent opportunity after coming on for Joao Pedro. 6.
Andrey Santos and Andrey Santos
