Chelsea have perfect swap deal opportunity to land Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea may have stumbled across an ideal opportunity to solve two of their transfer priorities in one hit. The Blues have splashed the cash already on attacking reinforcements, with Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens joining Enzo Maresca's side.

Further additions are in the pipeline at Stamford Bridge too, and Manchester United star Alejando Garnacho continues to be linked with a move to the club.

The Argentine international is expected to be on the move over the next few weeks after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim. Garnacho has struggled to see eye to eye with the United boss since his arrival from Sporting, and it has now been made abundantly clear that he does not feature in his plans for next season.

Several clubs are looking to pounce as a result, with Napoli and Aston Villa among his admirers. However, Chelsea's long-standing interest in the 21-year-old could put them in a strong position to strike a deal.

The Blues could also have an ace up their sleeves in negotiations: Nicolas Jackson. According to The Times, United are 'monitoring' the situation of the Senegalese international as part of their search for a new No. 9.

The Red Devils are firmly in the market for a new striker to lead the line for the club next season, and the 24-year-old is now among their considerations. Chelsea are not actively looking to sell Jackson but they are open to offers for the ex-Villarreal star and willing to cash in on his services if any 'decent offers' arrive.

AC Milan and Villa are also in the picture to sign Jackson, although there are no offers on the table at this stage. However, Chelsea may have a preference to sell to rivals United if they are able to negotiate a deal which would see Garnacho head in the opposite direction.

With both players' valuations likely to be in the same region, the Red Devils and the Blues could feel there is the ideal opportunity to strike a swap deal. Chelsea may also feel this is a chance to kill two birds with one stone given that Jackson is likely to struggle for minutes next season following the arrivals of Delap and Pedro.
