Boden shoppers rave over 'perfect' winter coat on sale in three different colours

A classic wool blend coat which has £50 off its usual price at Boden has pleased shoppers who say it is 'weighty and warm' but also love the trio of colours it comes in. The Carlisle Wool Coat is now £170.82, a 22% saving, with the code NVTT as part of a limited-time sale. The item would usually cost £219.

The smart coat can be slipped over any outfit to instantly elevate the wearer's look, as well as keeping them warm and toasty underneath. Described as a heritage staple, it is available in three colours - classic black, Vibrant Pink, or Plum Jam.

With a collar and chunky buttons, it also features deep patch pockets for warming hands or carrying useful items such as phones. Made up of 82% wool and 18% polyamide, the fully lined coat is lined with 100% recycled polyester.

Designed to have a straight fit through the bust, waist and hip, it falls on the knee, meaning it is a great cover up to keep the wearer cosy throughout winter. It is dry clean only, and available in sizes 4 to 22.

A similarly smart classic coat can be found at Marks and Spencer and is now on offer for £160, so shoppers can save £40 off its usual price of £200. The Wool Blend Longline Tailored Coat is described as a premium investment piece, with a single-breasted design and a row of three buttons. It is made up of 45% wool, 55% polyester.

Another option is the Black N. Premium Funnel Coat from Next, which is £110. Featuring a funnel neck design and a belted waist, the long coat is comprised of 50% recycled wool, with the rest a mix of manmade fibres.

The Boden coat is proving very popular with fashion fans who have been leaving glowing reviews on the brand's website.

One said: "Perfect fit, and the sleeves are long enough! Love the big patch pockets, and the pretty lining. This coat is a wonderful colour for autumn. I would definitely like one in another colour. Beautifully packaged so it feels luxurious." Another wrote: "Love the coat. It's a fun colour and a great coat. Feels nice and weighty and warm."

One reviewer said it was the 'perfect length'. "I was looking for something not too long. I love the collar on this coat it is well made and has a good wool content," they added.

One review said that although the coat was of 'gorgeous quality and design', they were disappointed it was too small for them. "I'm size 8UK with 34B cup so went for size 10 which sadly was too narrow in the chest. So my advice is to size up," they wrote.

Another said the 'fabric and Plum Jam colour are beautiful' but added that unfortunately, the 'sleeve length was too long' for them.
