US Congressman Shri Thanedar has tabled articles of impeachment against President , accusing him of "endangering our democracy."
politician Thanedar unveiled seven articles of impeachment on Monday, stating that the president was causing "real damage to our democracy."

"When Trump disregards the Constitution, and the courts, he is not 'fighting for America,'" Thanedar posted on X. "He is tearing it down and endangering our democracy."
However, these fresh impeachment procedures, which, if successful, would remove Trump from office, are unlikely to make it through the US Congress.
This is because Trump's Republicans hold a majority in both the House and Senate until at least the 2026 midterms.
During impeachments, a majority in the House of Representatives is required for the Senate to put the President on trial.
Trump has already faced two impeachment trials in his first term, once for refusing to cooperate with an investigation and a second time for the attempted insurrection at the Capitol on January 6.
In February, Democrat US Rep. Al Green declared his intention to bring impeachment articles against Trump over his Gaza proposal, reports . Green labelled the plan as "ethnic cleansing."
He stated "ethnic cleansing in Gaza is not a joke, especially when it originates from the President.
"The movement to impeach the president has begun. I rise to announce that I will bring Articles of Impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done," he said.
This followed Trump's proposal for the US to take "ownership" in redeveloping Gaza into "the Riviera of the Middle East."
He suggested that displaced Palestinians be permanently resettled outside the territory.
