This County Durham station, known for its festive North Pole Express events, is hosting steam train rides where passengers can indulge in the North East's famous culinary delight.

Organised by Fox and Edward Events, these journeys feature heritage steam locomotives pulling carriages from the 1800s and 1900s, offering a nostalgic 70-minute trip from Andrew's House Station.

The fish and chips are dished up at the journey's midpoint, ready to be savoured on the return leg. Each ticket also includes a drink and a tasty flapjack or large biscuit. A whole meal.

For those who fancy something different (though we can't imagine why you'd pass up on fish and chips), there's also the option of sausage and chips or a cheese patty and chips.
