Emmerdale fans 'rumble Mike's real identity' ahead of worrying Vinny twist

There could be a major twist according a new Emmerdale theory involving newcomer Mike. The character has grown close to Vinny Dingle recently, as Vinny continues to question his sexuality.

But in a bizarre new theory, some fans believe Mike's link to the village is stronger than anyone knows. Amid constant theories that John Sugden is actually someone else, some fans are now wondering if the 'real John' is actually the mystery Mike who has befriended Vinny.

It comes following the news that actor Oliver Farnworth is leaving the ITV soap and bowing out as John amid an explosive twist. Last week it was reported that John kills again, this time claiming the life of Mackenzie Boyd.

Before all this, fans have been speculating over the identity of new character Mike as it's teased he is not who he's claimed to be. Not only that but he's about to leave poor Vinny in danger.

Weirdly, this has sparked a new theory that Mike could in fact be the real John Sugden and that is why he's headed to the village. It follows fans being convinced that John is not John at all, so now they are questioning whether someone else will be revealed to be the secret Sugden sibling.

While it is unlikely that Mike is 'the real John', it is soap land and stranger things have happened, so we can't blame fans for coming up with wild theories. The theory read: "I wonder if this Mike that Vinny is talking to is the real John Sugden?"

Another fan replied: "It would be a brilliant twist if as well as being a murderer he wasn't even John Sugden." It comes amid big scenes for Mike and Vinny this week as the truth about who he is and what's going on his revealed.

Vinny has been chatting to Mike as he continues to question his sexuality ahead of his wedding to Gabby Thomas. As their bond grows, spoilers for this week's episodes revealed Mike would ask Vinny if he was gay with it clear he's confused.

With Mike comforting Vinny who is grateful for the support and plans to meet up again, things soon take a turn. When Gabby heads to an overnight spa trip, Vinny gets an urgent message from Mike who then shows up at his house.

Revealing his partner has kicked him out, the pair talk and soon Mike hints at an attraction between them. Vinny denies it, but soon it seems there's more to the story when Mike turns on Vinny.

It could well be that Mike is lying about who he is and his agenda. With Gabby heading home after thinking she's left her home behind, can she save her partner from Mike?
