It is considered inauspicious to place a mirror in the bedroom. It is also inauspicious to place a mirror right in front of the bed. It is not auspicious to place a mirror on the south and west walls of the house.
Broken glass should not be stored, it should be replaced immediately. Mirrors should not be placed in the store room. Do not place a mirror at the main entrance.
It is not a good habit to look in the mirror as soon as you wake up in the morning. Special care should be taken for the cleanliness of the mirror glass. In a commercial shop, mirror should be placed in the north, north-east or west direction for the water element.
It is also considered inauspicious to place a mirror in the kitchen. A broken or cracked glass mirror should not be kept in the house even by mistake.
