First know about the ban

There is a ban on bursting crackers on Diwali in Delhi. This ban will remain till January 1, 2025, that is, till this day you cannot burst crackers in Delhi. Not only this, according to the government order, there is a complete ban on making, storing and selling crackers. Also, delivery of crackers cannot be done online.

Now know about the rule

The way the level of pollution has increased in Delhi-NCR in the last few years, to deal with it, crackers have been banned for a few years. However, the truth is also that people burn crackers by ignoring these rules. If you are caught doing this, then appropriate action can be taken against you.

For bursting crackers, a fine of up to Rs 200 can be imposed or that person can be jailed for up to 6 months. There is a complete ban on selling crackers in Delhi-NCR under the Environment Protection Act 1986. If someone makes, stores, sells or uses crackers, then appropriate action can be taken against him. This can result in a fine of Rs 5,000 or imprisonment up to 3 years.
