Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A youth was allegedly shot dead after a dispute broke between Jatav and Gurjar communities during an Ambedkar Jayanti rally in Madhya Pradesh's Morena.
Two other people were also injured in the shooting, which started over an argument about loud DJ music being played during the rally on Monday night.

According to reports, the incident happened at Hingona Khurd village in Morena. People from the Jatav community were taking out a rally on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. They were playing DJ music as part of the celebration.
However, members of the Gurjar community objected to the loud music. A birthday party was going on at a Gurjar family's house, and they asked the rally group to turn down the music.
This led to a heated argument between the two groups. Around 11 PM, the situation turned violent. It is alleged that some youths from the Gurjar community started firing.
One man, Sanjay Pippal, was shot and died on the spot. Another man, Ranu Dauneriya, was seriously injured with a gunshot in his right arm. He was first taken to the district hospital in Morena, and later referred to Gwalior for better treatment. A third person was also injured.
Following the incident, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Extra police forces were called from Morena, and heavy security has been placed in the village.
The body of the deceased is still in the village. Police officials have said strict action will be taken against those responsible. They have also appealed to the public to maintain peace.
