Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Eight airstrips in the state have not been repaired for three years. Such airstrips are in Ratlam, Seoni, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Mandla, Shivpuri, and Umaria.
According to the security norms, the repairing of airstrips is a must in three years.
It is also said that there is no committee to examine the airstrips, but before the VVIPs arrive, the officials check them.
Government lacks info about number of staffers who have retired without promotion
The government does not have any information about the number of employees who have retired without a promotion. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave the information in the House in a written reply to a question raised by legislator Sunil Uike.

Yadav also said the promotion policy was made in June this year. The government will be able to take any decision with retrospective effect on those who have retired without promotion only after receiving a final verdict from the Supreme Court on the issue, Yadav said.
