April 22, 2025 will always be remembered as the dark day in the history of Kashmir and India. In a horrifying act, tourists in Pahalgam were attracted by a bunch of terrorists. The inhuman act of violence has shocked the nation, where 26 tourists were killed. The act took place in the beautiful Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
To condemn this, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) to show a strong show of unity against terrorism, has called for a Kashmir Bandh on April 23 (Wednesday). The JKNC has appealed to the people to make it a complete success. The party has also stressed that the bandh is not just a protest, but an expression of outrage against such violence.
On the other hand, in response to the terrorist attack, Indian airlines have increased the number of flights to facilitate passenger movement and pull them out of Kashmir as soon as possible. On Wednesday, Air India and IndiGo will operate four more flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai to take tourists out of Kashmir.
Air India took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "In view of the prevailing situation, Air India will operate two additional flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai on April 23". Similarly, an IndiGo official also announced that they will also operate two extra flights on the same routes to accommodate increased demand and ensure passenger safety.
Srinagar to Delhi, Mumbai Flight Details – April 23, 2025
Air India will operate two special flights: one from Srinagar to Delhi at 11:30 AM and another from Srinagar to Mumbai at 12:00 PM.
“All our other flights to and from Srinagar will continue to operate as per schedule,” the airline confirmed in an official statement.
As of now, Air India operates five flights daily connecting Delhi and Mumbai to Srinagar. In light of the situation, the airline is also offering free rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations, offering relaxation to the scared and affected passengers.
Indigo, on the other hand, operates 20 flights daily from Srinagar. Passengers may also choose to cancel their bookings and receive a full refund to their original mode of payment, as per the airline's policy.
