NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi attributed the success of the NDA-ruled states in attracting investments to ease of doing business due to less red tape, quick decisions on policy issues and corruption-free system. He said this at a meeting of chief ministers and deputy CMs of NDA-ruled states on Thursday. He urged all NDA lawmakers to adopt a pro-people, pro-active good governance (P2G2) approach and reach out to each other through social media.
At the meeting held in Chandigarh and attended by the CMs of 17 NDA-ruled states (13 from BJP), the PM also stressed on people's participation in governance. Home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh and 18 deputy CMs were among those present. "Smooth governance, fast decision-making and transparency in governance helped in attracting investors in NDA states," he said. Elaborating on P2G2, Modi emphasised on the need for more interaction among the NDA-ruled states, including by ministers and MLAs, and connecting with each other through social media.
