An appalling incident has been reported from the National Capital’s Maurice Nagar on Monday. The victim, a 22 year old postgraduate student, had booked a cab to go to her college. She found the 48 year old cab driver masturbating while taking her to the destination.
The victim had booked a cab from her home to college. According to the victim she noticed a change in the driver's behaviour towards her as soon as she entered the cab. Her ordeal started with the driver making obscene gestures and comments towards and then eventually masturbating while taking her to her college.
The student, alarmed at the situation, asked the driver to stop the cab immediately but the driver didn’t comply with her request. The driver eventually stopped the car near DU North campus where she got out of the cab and ran away. The girl contacted her friends and with their support filed a formal complaint against the cab driver at the Maurice Nagar police station.
The police acting on her complaint have filed an FIR; arrested the driver and seized his car for forensic investigation.
