Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 22 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday flagged off the 17th edition of the Vigyan Manthan Yatra in Bhopal. He also encouraged students to explore science and innovation.
The event, aimed at nurturing scientific curiosity among school students, was held at the Naronha Academy of Administration.
Speaking at the Vigyan Manthan Yatra, CM Yadav said, "Children of the 10th, 11th, and 12th classes of the state are going on this Vigyan Yatra tour. The country is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
"The children of our new generation should also satisfy their curiosity towards science, develop their talent, and become good scientists of the country," CM told media reporters.
Later in the day, addressing the Civil Services Day program, CM Yadav said, "Today, on the occasion of Civil Services Day, many congratulations to all the public servants of Madhya Pradesh from my side. Today, we have given various awards to all the public servants who have done excellent work in their field.
"On 21 April 1947, the then Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had given a framework for the civil servants of the civil service to work along with the country's independence with the same spirit," CM Yadav said.
Meanwhile, on Monday, on the occasion of Civil Services Day, PM Modi asserted that in the past decade, India has undergone transformative changes. PM Modi asked the civil servants to follow the 'Naagrik Devo Bhava' mantra.
"We should always remember one thing: no matter how technology-driven the world becomes, we should never forget the importance of human judgments. Listen to the voice of the poor and hear their pain. You solve their problems; it should be your first priority. Jaise 'Atithi Devo Bhava' hota hai, vaise hi 'Naagrik Devo Bhava' ke mantra ko le kr ke chalna hai. You have to prepare yourself for your duty not only as civil servants of India but also as architects of Viksit Bharat," PM Modi said, addressing the 17th Civil Services Day event at the Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.
