Maruti Suzuki India recently launched the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the Indian market. The new SUV gets minor cosmetic changes, new variants, additional features, added safety and much more. Interested customers can book the car online or by visiting their nearest dealership, deliveries are expected to begin soon. The updated model is offered in a total of 18 variants, and six airbags are offered as standard across all.
Customers can also opt for a panoramic Sunroof in the new Zeta (O), Zeta+ (O), Alpha (O) and Alpha+ (O) variants. The Strong Hybrid is now also offered with the mid-spec Delta Plus variant, and the all-wheel drive is now also offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox option; previously, it was offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The 2025 Grand Vitara now with six airbags across all variants, which was previously reserved for the higher trims such as Zeta, Zeta Plus, Alpha, and Alpha Plus. In addition to this, it also gets three-point seatbelts for all occupants, hill hold control, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, seatbelt alerts, and ISOFIX anchor points for child seats are also included as standard. The tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) was earlier exclusive to the Alpha Plus strong-hybrid trim, however, TPMS is now accessible from the Delta mild-hybrid variant onwards.
As mentioned before, the panoramic sunroof, which was previously offered only with top-spec Alpha, Zeta Plus, and Alpha Plus, customers can now opt for this feature in Zeta, Alpha mild-hybrid, as well as the Zeta Plus and Alpha Plus strong-hybrid by paying an extra Rs 60,000. As part of the latest update, Maruti Suzuki has broadened the feature set of its mild-hybrid variants, bringing several features that were exclusive to strong-hybrid variants.
The 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster is now available from the Zeta mild-hybrid trim onwards, and buyers opting for the Zeta variant and above will also benefit from ventilated front seats. Additionally, a wireless charging pad—previously restricted to the strong-hybrid lineup—is now offered in the same range.

From the Alpha variant onwards, the driver seat now benefits from an 8-way power-adjustable seat. The Zeta variant and above now come equipped with rear sunshades. Other new additions include an LED cabin lamp and an integrated air purifier with a PM2.5 display, both offered from the Zeta variant onwards. It now also features newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels.
While the 2025 Grand Vitara receives several notable upgrades, the SUV also misses out on a few features in select variants. The Zeta Plus strong-hybrid variant no longer gets the head-up display (HUD). It’s now offered in top-spec Alpha mild-hybrid and Alpha Plus strong-hybrid trims. The entry-level Sigma variant no longer comes equipped with electrically foldable ORVMS, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, vanity mirrors for both driver and co-passenger and chrome-finished interior door handles.
