The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the information bulletin for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. The registration process for Session 1 has also begun. Students can apply to appear for the exam until November 27th. For Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch), students can apply by visiting the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
As usual, the NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 exam in two sessions. The first session will be held between January 21st and 30th, 2026. JEE Main Session 2 will be held in April. The exam will be held between April 1st and 10th, 2026. The testing agency is planning to increase the number of exam cities to make it easier for engineering candidates. Special steps are being taken to accommodate the needs of candidates with disabilities appearing for the exam.

JEE Mains 2026 Marking Scheme: What is the JEE Mains 2026 marking scheme?
In the JEE Mains 2026 exam, candidates will receive four marks for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions. This scoring system applies to both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value Questions (NVQs) in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech).
