Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode i.e. IIM Kozhikode has launched a full-time undergraduate degree program for the first time. The name of this new program is Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS Honors with Research). It is a four-year degree course that will be taught at the Kochi Campus in Kozhikode. Students who want admission to these new programs can apply for this course by visiting iimk.ac.in/academic-programs/BMS/bms-overview.

This course will start from the 2025-26 academic year and many subjects have been added along with the study of management. Students will get major in management as well as minor options in many different fields. These include Economics and Public Policy, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Psychology and Behavioral Science, Finance and Big Data and Liberal Studies.

This program has been designed in line with the New Education Policy (NEP). In which flexible entry and exit options are also available. The course will be for a total of four years and eight semesters, in which students will be taught by the world-class faculty of IIM Kozhikode through exchange semesters, research projects, internships. Career assistance facility will also be provided in this program. Which will be conducted by the CARE Professional Cell of IIM Kozhikode.

Prof. Debashish Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, described this program as a "game-changer" in the field of higher education. He said that this program connects the youth with management thinking at the right age and prepares them with multi-dimensional knowledge and leadership capability. The admission process will start with an aptitude test in June 2025 and interviews will be held in July. The first batch will start classes in late August or early September.
