Liverpool is reportedly managing ahead of Sunday's title clash with .

The Reds right-back and is yet to miss a single game through injury under , starting all but one of 12 games in all competitions and contributing two assists.

In fact, the 26-year-old has also played the full 90 minutes in all four of Nations League clashes so far this campaign, and rewarding him with a goal and an assist.

But it is the most recent set of fixtures with the Three Lions that has caused a major issue for , despite starting both games against and RB Leipzig since his return last week.

According to , the Liverpool star has been playing with some discomfort since returning from England duty earlier this month, apparently suffering from a muscle issue picked up following the games against Greece and Finland.

You wouldn't guess it, however, with Alexander-Arnold continuing to put himself out there with solid performances in Liverpool's two fixtures since his return, yet it appears there is an ongoing issue nonetheless.

Perhaps it explains why the academy graduate didn't complete the full 90 minutes against Chelsea on Sunday or RB Leipzig on Wednesday, managing 81 minutes and 75 minutes respectively.

In fact, Alexander-Arnold had been removed from the field of play on five previous occasions already this season, with Slot keen to rest him when needed while giving youngster important minutes, so it has been nothing new to see him go off early.

But ahead of this weekend's huge clash in the capital away to title rivals Arsenal, Reds fans could be forgiven for having the slightest doubts over how this fresh injury could impact Liverpool's No.66 not only against the Gunners on Sunday, but for the foreseeable future.

Slot is due to speak to the media in his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the game, where it can be expected he will be quizzed on the current state of play surrounding Alexander-Arnold.
