A staggering net worth

Thanks to his illustrious career with the Chicago Bulls and later the , Jordan is hailed as the greatest NBA player of all time. He bagged six titles with the Bulls, and his salary throughout his career amounted to around £69.2million ($90 million).

However, his major earnings come from corporate partnerships. Forbes estimates that the basketball legend has a staggering net worth of £2.6billion ($3.5 billion), courtesy of his career and collaborations with brands like Nike, Hanes, and Gatorade. In the business , Jordan has served as a special advisor to betting firm Draft Kings, co-owned a NASCAR team, and held a majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets, which he sold in 2023.

Jordan famously teamed up with Nike in 1984 to launch his first range of Air Jordan trainers. Since then, Forbes estimates that he has raked in a massive £1billion ($1.3 billion) through this partnership. His other business ventures include a chain of US steakhouses, a private course in Florida, and MJE Salons.

Lavish private jet

One of his most extravagant possessions is a custom private jet, which he bought for £53million ($68.9million). This luxurious personal transport also boasts a bespoke £382,600 ($500,000) paint job, designed to resemble one of his iconic sneaker designs.

According to its website, the Gulfstream 650ER holds the record for being the 'farthest fastest flight in business aviation history', and Jordan is now the proud owner of one to help him get from A to B in style and with ease. It is encrusted in a sleek silver and black camo theme, features his Jumpman logo, and has a tail number of N236MJ, which pays homage to his famous number 23 jersey.

With a maximum speed of 0.925 Mach thanks to its two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines, the private jet is incredibly rapid, to say the least. Another perk is that it has been modified to allow it to fly for up to 13 hours before it needs refuelling.

However, the interior is arguably the most impressive thing about it. Big enough to accommodate 19 passengers and four crew members, it boasts luxurious leather recliners, a dining area with a fully loaded bar, and LED lighting that folds from the furniture. It's not a bad bit of kit for those who can afford it.

A stunning property portfolio

It comes as no surprise that Jordan owns several properties all across America, handy for when the star needs to be in a certain state for business or if he just fancies a change of scenery. His biggest and best undoubtedly comes in the form of his super swanky Highland Park home in Illinois.

The sprawling 32,683-square-foot mansion includes nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, an office space, a regulation-size basketball court, a tennis court, a putting green, a swimming pool and a 14-car garage. The front gate proudly displays the number 23, in tribute to Jordan's iconic jersey number.

Despite being a sports star's dream pad, Jordan has struggled to sell the property for 12 years. However, according to ABC Chicago, a buyer has finally been found and the sale is nearing completion.

The purchase price remains under wraps, but it was initially listed in 2012 for a staggering $29m (£22.2m), before being reduced to $14,855,000 (£11.4m) in 2015. In addition to this, Jordan once owned a penthouse overlooking Lake Michigan, which he bought for $3million (£2.3m) in 1992.

The open-plan condo boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms, a spacious lounge and dining area, a media room and a luxurious rooftop deck. However, reports suggest that Jordan sold the condo last year for a tidy $6.82million (£5.2m).

In Utah, Jordan has a second home in Park City. This impressive property spans 9,574 square feet and offers breath-taking views of the Wasatch Mountains. The house boasts five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a spacious balcony and all the luxuries one could wish for.

However, it was previously listed on the market for $7.5million (£5.91m). In addition to this, Jordan owns an 11-bedroom mansion in Florida, where he rubs shoulders with a host of celebrities and Fortune 500 executives, as well as a luxurious lakehouse in North Carolina complete with its own private dock.
