Chelsea have confirmed defender Mamadou Sarr has joined Strasbourg on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old, who was signed from the Blues' sister club for £12million this summer, has now returned to Stade de la Meinau for the upcoming campaign. Sarr represented Chelsea once at the FIFA Club World Cup - making a cameo appearance in the win against Esperance in Philadelphia.
Sarr's move to Strasbourg means the limit of players allowed to be loaned to one particular club has now been reached, following the recent departures of Mike Penders and Kendry Paez. The French defender becomes Chelsea's 11th exit of the summer transfer window altogether with the likes of Penders, Paez, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, Djordje Petrovic, Mathis Amougou, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Bashir Humphreys, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marcus Bettinelli all securing moves away.

Chelsea will be hoping to get a few more over the line in the coming weeks. Christopher Nkunku has told the club he wishes to depart this summer, football.london understands, and the Blues will not stand in the 27-year-old's way should they receive a suitable offer.
The likes of Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling are all up for sale, with the trio not being part of Enzo Maresca's plans in SW6. Carney Chukwuemeka, similarly, is expected to depart this summer, with Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig interested in the former Aston Villa midfielder.
Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja are too set to leave with Chelsea preferring permanent moves for the duo. Aaron Anselmino will be allowed to depart on loan as Chelsea look to get the Argentine defender more first team experience under his belt.
Marc Guiu, meanwhile, is set to join Sunderland on a season-long loan deal, football.london understands. The Premier League newcomers opened talks earlier in the week to sign the Spanish striker as the Black Cats aim to build a squad capable of keeping their spot in the English top-flight.
